This is the second acquisition of an operating solar plant in India.

This photovoltaic facility produces 7,500 MWh of renewable electricity per year, equivalent to the electricity consumption of 32 000 Inhabitants of India.
In December 2022, the Technique Solaire group formalized the acquisition of a ground-mounted solar power plant project with a capacity of 6.2 MWp. Located nearby Roorkee, in the state of Uttarakhand, in the north of the Indian Republic crossed by the Himalayas, this ground-mounted park produces 7,500 MWh of green electricity per year, equivalent to the Indian consumption of 32 000 inhabitants. This project is very close to our first project in India (5MW) which is also located in the same State.
Local villagers get remunerated over 25 years by the rent of the land for the project. The plant also provides employment to the local population of the village, directly/indirectly to about 20 people during operations.
The plant was commissioned in 2017, the same time our first project in India got commissioned. It benefits from a secured tariff: a long term 25 years PPA (power purchase agreement), signed with UPCL (Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited).
“With this acquisition, our total operational portfolio in India reaches 74.5 MWp (4 ground-mounted projects and 2 Rooftops). Our goal is to develop and acquire good quality projects in India & operate several hundred MWp by the end of 2024. Indeed, India is a country with high strategic stakes for the Technique Solaire group and is participating to the group’s ambition to reach 1 GWp of solar photovoltaic plants in operation by the end of 2025“, explains Manu Bishnoi, India Director of Technique Solaire.
